AU. This year's Rural Day was celebrated with many colorful and exciting activities. The day's activities began with a special flag raising ceremony held in the morning. The ceremony was attended by the village council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), heads and employees of various institutions, school students and a large number of the general public. After the flag raising ceremony, a special breakfast (tea) was served to all the participants. Among the sports activities of the day, a special exciting bowling match was held between men and women at 09:00 am. After a competitive match, the women's team won the match. The evening was devoted to a children's cultural evening. Every child who came in traditional Dhvehi dress was warmly welcomed and given a special gift. The evening included a traditional children’s fashion show, full stage activities by pre-school students, special characters of the day, musical purse and other interesting games. A special canteen was also available for the evening participants. The official ceremony was held at 20:30 pm. The council president spoke about the day. The special song of the Rural Day was inaugurated and the special report of the day was presented. In addition, a special dance item prepared for the Rural Day song was performed by inviting tourists staying at the village guesthouses. The council's new website was also officially launched during the meeting. The highlight of the event and the people were most happy was the activity called "A Green Time for a Time" After the past 30 years, the opportunity to apply for new land has been officially opened. A special drama was performed on stage on the occasion of Rural Day. The whole event ended with a colorful "Rural Cane" attended by all the villagers
